Dear Parents,
To help with the budget for this coming school year, our classrooms in ELP will no longer be providing snack on a daily basis. Snack time in our classrooms is made up of several learning opportunities. During this time we work on social skills with the children such as exchanging on-topic conversations with adults and peers, requesting and responding to requested items, and introducing new foods. In order to continue benefiting from these valuable experiences, we are asking that ALL the parents in the room work together to provide snacks on a weekly basis. The room mothers will contacting everyone soon to work out a snack schedule. We ask that you bring your snack in for your assigned week on the Monday of your week instead of daily deliveries. It is probably easier and cheaper to buy in bulk too. The school will be providing juice and paper goods so there is no need to bring extra. We like to give the children different things to taste to expand their pallet, so don’t hesitant to buy something out of the ordinary, but within reason of course. Please remember that our program is completely NUT FREE!!
